Merriman Wedding | Bridal Veil Lakes | DJ

Matt & Katie Merriman were married July 3rd, 2015 at Bridal Veil Lakes and Silicon Forest Entertainment was there as the wedding DJ & MC for the evening. This was our second wedding of the summer there at Bridal Veil Lakes and we have a few more to DJ before the season is over!

DJ Thoughts

We can’t express how much we love this venue. It truly is one of a kind. From the moment you get off the Columbia scenic road and start the 1/2 mile trek into the veil, you’re instantly “deep” into the forest and you know you’re at a private event. Once you park and walk up a short flight of steps, you’re presented with a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding amenities. There are many ways to arrange the seating and ceremony sites, but no matter how you do it, you’re completely surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees.

Matt & Katie chose to use Columbia River Strings quartet for their ceremony and cocktail music. They sounded amazing and from what I gathered, they learned the new theme song from Jurassic world just for this ceremony. You can hear it pretty clearly in the video! After the ceremony, everyone headed over to the main site for cocktails and dinner. There were some pretty amazing toasts given by Matt’s best man and fellow law school classmate as well as Katie’s sisters. Matt & Katie managed to plan the wedding from afar with the help of their good friend Abby Smith, who was actually the one to find us and put us in touch with Matt & Katie. We’re glad she chose well 🙂

We managed to capture most of the ceremony from our iPhone but then ran out of space for the dancing portion of the night. The highlight of the day was definitely the beautiful ceremony officiated by Matt’s Best Man. Here’s a short video of what it all looked like:
