Survivor Mud Run | Portland International Raceway | MC & DJ
Last weekend Silicon Forest Entertainment spent all day at the Portland International Raceway hosting this year’s “Survivor Mud Run”. This was a 5K obstacle course created by the Survivor Mud Run group and it was their first year here in Portland. The first wave of runners kicked off at 9am and was the only “competitive” group for the day. The top male runner finished in just over 19 minutes and the top female runner finished in just over 20 minutes. On average, it took most other runners about 45 minutes to complete the course. There were waves of about 125-150 runners that started every 15 minutes from 9am until Noon.
After the race, runners were greeted by our US Army servicemen who were handing out water bottles.
While Craig announced the waves of runners every 15 minutes, Dionne Kraus, had her debut as a DJ spinning upbeat music for 4 hours! She did fantastic!
“Surivivors” who were over 21 were also treated to a complimentary beer in the beer gardens (pictured behind Craig here).
After we were done with the awards ceremony, Dionne was able to sneak off and grab a few photos of the last obstacle near the finish line as well as some celebrations and showers.
The last runners trickled out around 2pm and I headed home to enjoy my new sunburn 🙂
Check in next week as we post updates on the Deer Creek Elementary Carnival, the Bledsoe/Grismore Wedding, and the Beatty Graduation Party! Silicon Forest Entertainment can be your event DJ or MC for any occasion!
